SRR apologizes for erroneous reporting of the bridge repairs. It was reported last week that the bridges have been repaired.

The Medina River trail remains closed at the Union Pacific trestle entrance from Pleasanton Road due to bridge repairs. Two bridges—Medina River and Leon Creek—were damaged by floods in May 2021. Brandon Ross, the greenway trails project manager, said that "neither is easy" regarding the bridge repairs.

It was reported by the city that the Mission del Lago trail was set to reopen in November. A new road was constructed for the new Mission del Lago, subdivision a development by Lennar Homes.

The distance between Mission del Lago and Palo Alto Road, where the trail ends, is 13.3 miles (21.4 km).

Mission del Lago is a public golf course venue that also serves as a trailhead. In fact, the greenway trail goes through a part of the golf course on its connection to the Medina River area. New subdivisions have been popping up all around the golf venue. According to Lennar's website lennar.com, new housing costs range from $198,999 - $309,999 at Mission del Lago subdivision.
